Othila requires a separation, a removal of something or someone of importance to you. Some of your closest belongings may need to be abandoned. Not all of these are material objects. These possessions could include your views and values, or a social standing. Who you have been, or would like to be, could be taken.

This is a rune of letting go, possibly of a relationship or an attitude.

The proper conduct now is consent. Agree to give up a love or possibly a desire for revenge. Submitting to a separation is called for, but don't despair. This is a healing separation that will allow you to go on with your life. In time, this separation will benefit all concerned.

Now is the time to avoid old habits, particularly in thought. The way you have always done things is not the way to do it now. By listening to your higher Self rather than your conditioning, you will learn to easily accomplish what is needed. Tradition is not always the best way.

How to act is your decision, however when to act depends on the world around you. Watch carefully and your world will show when it is ready.
