Uruz is a cycle rune of endings and beginnings. Expect to lose something or someone of importance to you. You have progressed beyond the need of an existing influence. This must be removed to make room for a new beginning.

Your loss could be the end of a lifestyle, whether by choice or circumstance. Or, it may be the end of a relationship, one you depend on heavily for emotional support.

This loss may first appear devastating. Radical changes in your life may be needed to adapt, but these changes are necessary to avoid stagnation. You may choose not to adapt to your loss and cling to your old way of living, but be assured that new beginnings will always create positive growth that will produce a greater strength in you.

Often new beginnings offer freedom, allowing you to remove shackles that have domesticated you, restraining the wild side of you.

Strength always comes with new beginnings, provided strong principles and true humility also come along.

It appears that your strengths are weakening. You may be losing more often than normal. Everything appears dark now.

You are not paying attention to your higher Self. You are out of balance with that part of you. The failures and disappointments are there to regain your attention.

Some only need a little prodding, others need a knock on the head. This rune calls for you to start listening again, and pay heed to what your higher Self is telling you. Or, you may get that knock on the head.

When you are once again in balance, the cycle will go from darkness back into light.
