| Note: This ritual is for quick protection from magic or emotional attacks. To be effective, you need to practice before you need the protection. Use the rune Algiz as a trigger to create the protective armor. If the symbol is hard to imagine in an instant, try a word like 'Protection' as the trigger.
When I need instant protection, Algiz appears glowing red. The red glow streams towards me turning into plates of armor. These plates form to my body, interlocking as they completely cover me from head to toe. The armor has no weight; I can move about freely. Nothing can pierce the armor. Nothing can reach me. I am safe. If I choose to, the armor will blend into my surroundings, and I will not be noticed. I will become a fly on the wall. I will be forgotten by my attacker. |
| Note: Use this ritual to protect a specific place, person or object. You need to know who your protectors are before starting. What image makes you feel safe? That image is your protector. You are creating powerful thought forms with this ritual, so be careful with the emotion behind their creation. These guards will strengthen according to their nature (see the laws of mind - law of retribution ). If forgotten, they could cause you or the one protected problems.
I sit comfortably, knowing I will not be disturbed. With my eyes closed, I center my thoughts on my breathing. With each breath in, I count backwards from ten, one number for each breath. When breathing out I silently say "Deeper" and feel my body slowly sink into a calm, cool darkness. At number one, I am relaxed and free from the physical world. With my mind, I trace the rune Algiz; it glows blood red. The red glow flows from Algiz to me. The red glow soaks into my body. My chest fills with the power. I feel wonderful and strong. I then picture the person or place needing protection. I create all the details in this image. Once the picture is as real as I can make it, I look to the north of the picture and see the rune Algiz forming in red. I raise my hands to Algiz and release the power in my chest. Algiz flames brightly and my protector appears in the flame. I then create Algiz to the south, east and west. Once the four protectors are standing guard, I know the area or person is safe. I thank the protectors for helping me, slowly count to five and open my eyes. The ritual is over. |
