A primary rule covering all uses of the mind is; the stronger, more clearly a thought is held, the larger the mental vibrations become. As the mental vibrations increase, the effective power of the imagery increases. Most of us have untrained minds that cannot focus clearly on an image for very long, however, with practice, the imagery, and therefore the magic, will become stronger.
There is another basic law that limits the use of magic. The more unselfish and loving the thought, the higher the vibrations become. A base, self-centered thought remains on a lower rate of vibration. This limits the power the thought can generate. Because of this, runic ritual magic (or any magic for that matter) will be much weaker and less effective if used to get the best of another.
The law of mental attraction. Simply put, you attract what you think about. You do not attract what you want, or what you think you need. You attract what your mind focuses on.
Even more important than that, you attract what you feel.
Emotion fuels your thoughts. Emotion is the power behind magic. If you fear poverty, you will attract more poverty. If you love prosperity, you will attract more wealth.
If you feel worthless, you will attract events that prove you are worthless. If you feel you deserve the best, you will attract the best.
Watch what you feel; that is what you will attract.
The law of retribution. This law is closely tied to the law of mental attraction. Everything you do creates an energy signature that becomes an actual force. This force is connected to you and grows stronger as you feed energy into it. This energy attracts other forces of similar frequency. You are affected by this force you created plus all similar forces attracted to it.
When you hate someone, you create a cloud of hate around you. That cloud attracts more hatred making it even stronger. This cloud of hatred also attracts events or people charged with the same hatred. This attraction brings even more hatred into your life. In other words, What you give out, comes back to you only stronger.
Watch what you do; it will come back to you.
The good news is, this also applies to feelings of love or prosperity or anything else you desire.
This is only a small part of the laws of mind and their uses in magic, but this knowledge, combined with practice, can greatly increase your abilities.
